Large images slow down websites, eat mobile data, and get rejected by email attachment limits. This compressor shrinks your pictures right in the browser: pick a file, drag the quality slider, and download the smaller result. Quality 80–90 usually cuts a photo's file size by more than half with no visible difference; dropping to 60–70 produces much smaller files that still look fine as thumbnails or chat attachments. You can keep the original format or convert to WebP, which typically yields the smallest files of the three. Note that PNG images with transparency lose their transparent background when converted to JPEG, because JPEG has no alpha channel — choose WebP or PNG output if transparency matters. The whole process uses the canvas API locally, so your photos are never uploaded to any server, which makes this safe for personal or work images.
