What this site is

FreeTools provides free, browser-based utilities — text converters, encoders, generators, and similar small tools. Everything runs client-side in your browser. By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, the tools will miss you, but you shouldn't use them.

Free to use, as-is

All tools are free for personal and commercial use, with no limits and no account required. They're provided "as is," without warranties of any kind — we aim for correctness (and test each tool), but we can't promise every output is perfect for every edge case. If you're encoding something mission-critical, double-check the result with an independent method.

Your responsibility

Outputs are yours to verify. A generated password is random, but how you store it is on you. A hash is computed correctly to the best of our implementation, but don't bet the company on a single browser tab without backups.
Don't abuse the site. Don't attempt to disrupt the service, probe it for vulnerabilities beyond good-faith reporting (which we welcome via the contact page), or use the tools for anything illegal.
Respect the law. Don't use the tools to facilitate wrongdoing — encoding stolen data in Base64 doesn't make it yours.

Intellectual property

The site's design, text content (including blog articles), and code are ours unless stated otherwise. You're welcome to link to any page. Don't copy entire articles or rebrand the tools as your own without asking.

Changes and availability

We may add, change, or remove tools at any time, and the site may occasionally be down for maintenance. We'll try not to break your bookmarks, but no promises — it's a free side project, not a SLA-backed enterprise platform.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, FreeTools and its operator aren't liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from your use of the site — including, but not limited to, data loss, incorrect conversions, or weak passwords you chose to keep. The tools do math in your browser; what you do with the math is your call.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the new terms. Major changes will be noted by updating the date above.
