About this tool
Picking the right color should not require opening a design app. This picker gives you the system color dialog for precise selection, a live preview swatch, and instant HEX, RGB, and HSL readouts — each with a one-click copy button. Below that sits a curated palette of commonly used colors: brand blues, success greens, warning ambers, and a full grayscale ramp. Click any swatch to copy its HEX value straight to your clipboard, which makes grabbing a color for CSS, slides, or documents a two-second job.
A quick refresher on the formats: HEX is the six-digit code CSS uses (#3B82F6), RGB describes the red/green/blue channels on a 0–255 scale, and HSL describes hue, saturation, and lightness — often the most intuitive way to tweak a color (raise lightness to pastel-ify, lower saturation to mute).
