About this tool
QR codes are everywhere — on receipts, posters, business cards, and product packaging — but sometimes you receive one as a screenshot or an image file with no phone at hand. Upload the image here and this tool reads the QR code straight from it, showing you the encoded text or link. It handles rotated and slightly blurry codes reasonably well, since the decoder scans the image data directly rather than relying on a camera viewfinder.
One technical note: the actual decoding is done by an open-source JavaScript library (jsQR) loaded from a CDN, so the page needs an internet connection the first time it loads — after that, your images are processed entirely on your device and never uploaded anywhere. If the tool reports that no QR code was found, try a sharper or larger image; very small codes and heavy glare are the usual culprits. Privacy: images are decoded locally in your browser and never uploaded. (The decoder library itself loads from a CDN on first visit.)
